notconflicted: (dealing)
The Triumvirate knew when Ania had been found and arrested, and so they'd been prepared with a tribunal immediately after she'd been returned to Coruscant. It wasn't their first; the end of a war meant a lot of people had to answer for a lot of things. They had one representative from the Imperial Knights, the Jedi, and the Galactic Alliance, and Sia watched a private feed from her office.

So she got to see Antares lay out the case against Ania, who was accused of being confronted by an Imperial Knight named Teemen Alton after the liberation of the labor camp she'd been in, convicted of killing another man. She saw Yalta Val speak for her, and present some ridiculous argument that Alton's killer had had an artificial hand.

She also saw Jao Assam walk in in the middle of it all with said artificial hand, pulled off the woman he claimed actually did kill Alton, because as it turned out, the defense wasn't that ridiculous after all. Somehow.

It was a closed tribunal with very few people involved, so there wasn't much in the way of chaos with that revelation, but once that happened, it was pretty much over. Ania would go free. Jao would be arrested immediately, which he knew would happen.

And as Sia switched off the feed, that nagging feeling that she'd been screwing up only got worse.

Master K'kruhk was late to the meeting, which was rare. )

notconflicted: (you are saying things)
Of course things had been quiet for too long.

They were on their way back to Coruscant when Antares pulled Sia and Jessica into one of the conference rooms to detail what looked a lot like a Sith attack on an Imperial colony on Ord Cantrell this morning. There hadn't been any military presence there, and the accounts came from survivors of the attack, who didn't have the experience with Sith to know exactly what it was that they were dealing with.

When Antares finished his briefing, he ended with, "Based on their previous attacks, they seem to be focusing on Imperial space."

After the stunt with the lightsaber, Darth Havok had gotten smart about Sia. He'd had her suspended from her shackles in a crucifixion pose, where she couldn't get at anything, and even if she did, her hands were too far from anything to do any damage. He'd even had the fire pits removed, and had sent Sith guards to keep watch in the chamber when he left, so she really wasn't able to try anything.

All she could really do was not let the dark energy all around her intrude on her thoughts too much, and try to figure a way out of this before things really got bad.

Sia had stayed with the Jedi for a while to try and work out a possible alliance, but while they might trust her, her father was another story. They had agreed to send people to meet with Roan and a few Imperial Knights to finalize some things. The Jedi were allied with the Galactic Alliance, as were the Imperials. If they could work out their own deal so everyone could actually work together, maybe they could finally end this.

She’d invited Atton, because he’d offered, and because in case things did fall apart, he might be of help as a neutral party. Which was one of those things where if she could go back and tell that to her younger self, she’d have called herself a liar.

The meeting would be held in a field, with robes and hats matching the working farmers nearby to blend in more easily, with the Jedi coming from one side and the Imperials from another, to literally meet in the middle.
