Bastion- Saturday

Sia had tried very hard to keep her relationship as quiet as possible, because it wasn't anyone else's business, and maybe- just maybe- she'd selfishly liked having something that was just hers. Once Antares had disobeyed a direct order from Roan to run off and "save" her, that all evaporated.

He'd avoided her immediately after they'd returned to Bastion, and then he and Ganner had been sent off on what should have amounted to a suicide mission as punishment, because Roan was a little extra. When he returned a couple weeks later, he was still avoiding her, even though he'd been there for her knighting. She knew exactly what was going on, and it just made her more annoyed.

So when Roan tried to assemble a team to give them orders, Sia volunteered to be the one to locate Antares before Ganner could be voluntold. She found him sitting in the greenhouses, by himself, and now he had to talk to her. "Antares? You're not answering your comm. My father is looking for you."

Whatever he'd been thinking about, he might not have realized his comm had even been going off, given the surprised look on his face. "Sia! I-"

He moved to get up, but instead Sia took a seat on the ground next to him. "It's all right. Ganner is with him. My father has a mission for the three of us."

"Unwise," Antares said with a shake of his head. "Last time you were nearly killed. As leader of the Imperial Knights, I will counsel the emperor to assign someone else."

Sia leaned forward to better give him a Look. She had nearly been killed, but she had only been in that position because of his terrible decision-making. "I am fully recovered, Master Draco, and I have completed both my training and my trials," she reminded him coolly. "I am an Imperial Knight, and you will treat me as no less."

He wisely didn't argue that point, but he didn't agree with her, either.

She sighed. "Antares, I sense conflicted feelings within you. You've been spending a lot of time by yourself lately. You've been avoiding me. I know my father. My guess is these are his orders. I know you. I know the feelings you have for me, as well as your sense of duty. You're conflicted. I am not. I have no intention of letting my father run my personal life. That takes care of that. But professionally, you did not swear an oath to me. You serve the Force, as embodied by the emperor. If that's in question, then we need to deal with it. Do we need to deal with it?"

It could get interesting. As leader of the Imperial Knights, he was her commanding officer. As princess, though, he had to answer to her, too. Sia knew she could toe that line without a problem. She wasn't so sure about him anymore.

Antares paused for just a second too long, and said, "Not at all."

Sia wasn't sure he was lying, per se, but he was going to have to leave that with him to think about. "As for physically attacking people and verbally abusing those who were trying to help me… If I ever see or hear of anything like that happening again, it's over, immediately and without question. Understood?"

That startled him a bit, but that answer was much faster. "Understood."

So, he'd get a second chance, and Sia hoped she wasn't making a mistake in allowing it. "All right. Now let's see where my father wants to send us."
