With everything going on, sticking to a regular training schedule had gotten really difficult, which was bad when some of the things that had been going on included torture and Sia actually dying in battle. At the moment, nothing was exploding and she was still waiting on her next orders- she’d bet money that she’d be on her way back to Taivas- she took some time to go down to one of the training rooms to work on lightsaber drills.

Besides, part of her week included a memorial service for the ex that she was still pretty sure was alive and most people hadn’t found out about the ex part, so this was a good chance to work some things out.

Sia was going to have to take a long hard look later at why she liked seeing that so much.

But for now, she ignited her own lightsaber again, waiting for him so she could get a better idea right off of how he did this.

Atton's lightsabers were bright, yellow things. His old one had carried a hint of bronze, but that one was gone now.

He didn't attack, though. He paced around her, a little like a caged animal casually considering its chances.

Homestly the pacing made her a little nervous, but she was watching him carefully right back.

And then she struck out, somewhat experimentally, to see what he would do.

He caught her blow easily on one 'saber, and waited a split second before swinging at her shoulder with the second.

She’d fought against two blades before, but never on her own. The Imperial Knights were very much a team that way. She was pretty quick in blocking the second, but still a little slower than she’d like.

"Not bad," Atton said, his 'sabers whirling behind him as he settled back. "You can do better."

“Oh, that barely counted,” Sia assured him, lunging forward faster now with a strike towards his shoulder.

Atton caught that one, too. He didn't give her the luxury of an extra half-second to respond now as he went on the counter attack, hailing several blows down on her in short succession.

She wasn’t expecting that extra time, and doubted he would go easy on her at all, so she stepped it up to catch all the blows, twisting away to the side to give herself more room.

Atton followed right behind, pulling away abruptly so he could turn with her.

He didn't let up.

She’d be kind of insulted if he did, really.

Part of Sia’s training was about extending as little energy as possible to fend off attacks like this, because at some point they’d slow down. It both bothered and impressed her that she wasn’t finding an opportunity to get back on the offensive.

“I’m very glad we’re on the same side,” she admitted, not breaking stride.

"Now that's not something I hear every day," Atton quipped in between blows. "Mind comming Mical about putting that on my gravestone?"

And just like that, he broke away.

“I would, except for all the talk about not dying,” Sia replied, wasting no time in striking back at him more aggressively this time.
