notconflicted: (pony!)

Room 327- Saturday morning

Sia had been here all of a couple weeks, and she'd been woefully underprepared for the idea that she might turn into a pony. That, believe it or not, had not made it into the brochure.

And yet here she was, a white pony that still had streaks in her hair- er, mane- standing in her dorm room on all four legs, staring at herself in the mirror and being slightly less convinced with every passing second that she had to be imagining this. Maybe after a few weekends like this, she might get used to the idea enough to remember that at least she was still pretty (for a horse) and go with it.

[Omg, I have never needed ice cream more in my life, but door and post are open!]

Juliet was seated on her bed, trying to paint the tips of her hooves red with a nailpolish brush held in her mouth. She was having a surprising amount of success.

She shifted the brush to the corner of her mouth to talk. "You look pretty," she offered. "For a pony."

"MMMMphthmffnnnn---" Okay, Juliet couldn't talk with the polish brush in her mouth. She grimaced a bit as she shifted it to the side again. "Because the island does this sometimes," she said. "It also likes to make us little kids. Or boys. And one time I was a puppy."

She'd been adorable.

"It usually goes away after a few days."

Juliet snorted, which was a more horsy sound than she liked it to be. "There's no way to change back just because you want to," she reported. "I wish there was."

"If there were, there'd be a line out their door days like today," Juliet said reasonably. "Either it's nobody, or they're super-good at hiding it."

"Because it was fun?" Juliet, who was a foot-stomper to begin with, offered.

"I'm really flexible," Juliet said, and if ponies could shrug she would have. "I think it carries over."

"Could you test?" Juliet wondered. "I would totally test, unless it was computer programming or something like that. I don't want to break my keyboard."

"I don't even know if the clinic has a veterinarian," Juliet mused. "And I'm not great with blood. Maybe it's better not to find out."
