Room 327- Monday morning

Sia usually had no problem at all with focusing, no matter what she was trying to focus on. Today is was really, really a problem.

It had started with a message from home that she'd had to pause and put aside for later because she found herself concentrating more on the Imperial Knight sending it rather than the message he was sending. That just struck her as inappropriate. And when she'd decided that she didn't like the feeling of being this keyed up for no reason, she'd spent longer than she wanted to admit in the salle, only for it to not make any real difference.

At that point (and after a shower that was a bit colder than she was used to) she'd become determined to at least get through her homework, because this was officially ridiculous and surely she could keep her focus for more than five minutes.

[She should not be able to do that, no. Door/post open!]

"Yes, we covered that," she said dryly. "I still don't agree."

... So apparently not.

"You have a lot of homework to catch up on," he said.

"You've convinced me otherwise," she said. "I suppose I'll just have to find something else to do."

"You could spend some time with Olive," Atton suggested. "You know, braid each other's hair all night, or whatever it is you two do."

"I haven't even seen her in months," Sia pointed out. "Come up with something better."

Apparently this was his job now.

"All the more reason to catch up!"

Yeah, apparently this was his job now.

"I said come up with somwthing better," she repeated.

"I don't know, who else are you friends with?" Atton asked. Desperately.

Sia smirked, just a little. "You always seem to have opinions on what I should be doing with my time, and now you get uncreative?"

"Well, I didn't want to suggest drinking and gambling," Atton shot back.

"Like usual, you mean?" she checked.

"Oh, and the last time I was in Baltimore, Karen pointed out this place that's supposed to have naked guys stripping and dancing around," Atton continued smoothly. "That more up your alley?"

g"No, Not that that image will help matters."

She already wished she'd kept that part to herself.

"Then I go back to my original suggestion: find a friend. Buy some violently blue drink. Braid each other's hair," Atton said, ticking them off on his fingers. "Hell, I bet Sparkle would be up for that."

Reallly, Olive and Sparkle were going to do pretty much nothing for this situation.

"You're less than helpful," she complained.

...Yeah, Atton was not going to volunteer anything that would, uh, resolve that situation, because it would be so weird on so many levels.

"If you can't figure out how to unwind, that's not my fault."

"Braiding people's hair?" Really, Atton. Really.

Atton held his hands up. "I don't know what girls do when they're alone together and they're not plotting to kick somebody in the balls."

"As I've never plotted to do that, I'm not sure I know, eitger," she said.

"I don't know. What do you and Olive do anyway?"

... He was not going to picture pillow fights. That was not where his brain was going to g--

Argh.

"I'm not sure I can say," she said. "Girl secrets."

The answer was 'talk, usually' but that was boring.

"You're not really helping here," Atton complained, happily ignoring the fact he was basically echoing Sia at this point.

Okay, maybe he was getting some kicks out of arguing SHUT UP.
