Room 317- Tuesday morning

Sia had been trying to study. Normally she was very good at staying focused, too. It was just that today, anytime she started to get anywhere, she'd hear an impatient throat-clearing noise that seemed to be coming from the strange sprig of green... thing that had appeared on the ceiling today.

"Hem, hem," it said.

"In case it's escaped your notice, I'm ignoring you," Sia said, not even looking up from her notebook, though she did wonder how she got to the point where she would reply to talking plants on her ceiling and not react.

"Yeah, that's what I've been asking myself this whole conversation," Atton retorted. "How about you make like you're not a mynock and let this go. I don't even get why we're arguing about this."

"Because you keep being insulting about it," Sia said. "And frankly, you can have plenty of reasons for not thinking that way about me, fine, but my age is a stupid one."

"Wait, are you arguing terms of rejection with me?"

"Apparently so!" All she knew was that she was mad, all right?

"Come on, you'll both feel better!" said the pillowcase.

"No, seriously," Atton called upwards, "I am getting my vibroblade!"

That bought him precious time to come up with a way of saying that's insane that didn't make this worse.

"It's a stress reliever! And hey, you wouldn't be fighting anymore!"

"I'm moving to a town where the foliage minds their own business," Sia sighed.

"I'm moving to a whole different planet," Atton groused, in hopes that this meant he could somehow distract Sia from talking about this. "This island. I don't know which idiot thought it up, but they must've taken a few too many hits to the head."

"This doesn't sound like making out..."

"Just what I was thinking," Atton said, getting back on the chair.

Atton glanced at her over his shoulder. "Not even a little maiming?" he tried. "Nobody needs to know!"

Look, you could take the boy out of the Sith, but taking the Sith out of the boy was a whole different venture.

"I'll know, and no maiming," she said, glaring at the pillowcase anyway.

"IT'S JUST A KISS, WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL," said the mistletoe, apparently getting frustrated.

Sometimes it pissed Sia off that she was good.

Atton gave the mistletoe a thwap anyway. "Fine," he said, hopping off the chair again, "But only because it's your room."

"Great. Now I can listen to it harass me into kissing people all day," she said, though at least some of the anger now was directed at stupid Fandom and its stupid talking plants. "Just how I wanted my Thursday to go."

"You could probably put your roommate's pillowcase on there if you want," Atton said casually. "So I'm just going to leave this here..."

And get out before Sia remembered what the fight was about. Inching towards the door...

"Sure. Fine," she nodded. Not mad at all about any of this, really.

She was not being entirely reasonable, anyway.
