notconflicted: (having all the thoughts)

Room 327- Monday after classes

Since she'd been out of contact for a bit, Sia had decided that she would send a message home today. She wasn't doing very well with it, frowning at her datapad and having only decided what not to say. She wouldn't include anything about what had happened this past week. It wasn't that she wanted to stay here when she could be doing other things back there, but she didn't want anyone trying to pull her from school based on something that hadn't really happened.

Except that it had and she remembered it all too well.

There was a lot to think about today. The fact that last week had felt a lot like a condensed, very pink version of what she dealt with back home, being exposed to more violence than she was used to, getting a dose of what might happen to her if she was ever caught, not to mention having nearly three days of mortality under her belt at fifteen... No one said they were particularly good thoughts. Perhaps she would tell Elke at least what had happened, eventually, but not until she'd had a chance to work through it.

[Door and post open! SP while at work but I'm totally awake now and I want aftermath, dammit.]

"I ran out of tricks, think I broke my arm," Atton lied smoothly. "He would've gotten back up and killed me if you hadn't done your Jedi-- sorry, knight-- thing and sent him running."

Atton threw up his hands. "Fine," he said. "Just don't go expecting me to bail you out of trouble from now on, because without a blaster in my hands..."
suitably_heroic: (dsp: really?)

[personal profile] suitably_heroic 2012-07-30 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"You got killed," Atton felt obliged to point out.

"I don't know, I find that a blaster bolt to the forehead tends to kill most things pretty well," Atton said, shrugging. "But what do I know."

"Sure, your highness," Atton said, and gave her a little half-wave. "Either way, I guess that's all over and done with. Maybe."
suitably_heroic: (dsp: determined)

"I don't know if you've noticed, but this place is insane," Atton said, leaning back. "Who knows what's going to rear its head again when we least expect it?"
suitably_heroic: (lsp: ahhhh!)

[personal profile] suitably_heroic 2012-07-30 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, call me a pessimist," Atton proclaimed. She probably would, Atton. "But I'm going to be drinking like it's the end of the world tonight, just in case."

"I'll get a new one," he said, shrugging. "Who knows what you can find on the black market these days. At least the Hutts are good for something."
suitably_heroic: (dsp: sinner)

[personal profile] suitably_heroic 2012-07-30 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"Only if you don't want me to buy you a round."

Definitely.
suitably_heroic: (lsp: so what are we...?)

[personal profile] suitably_heroic 2012-07-30 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hey, I know where all the good black market livers are," he said. "So that'd be safer than doing it on your own."
suitably_heroic: (dsp: annoyed)

[personal profile] suitably_heroic 2012-07-30 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Atton eyed her. "Okay, now I have a bad feeling about this."
suitably_heroic: (lsp: ahhhh!)

"Wow, you do drive a hard bargain." That sarcasm was benign, honest, it was. "Today or tomorrow, I'll be in the bar that actually sells us something worth drinking."

Being fake-17 was a pain in the ass when the alcohol limit was your actual age.
