Coruscant- Thursday

Sia woke up on Coruscant after a couple days in a bacta tank, and immediately she wanted to be caught up. She wanted numbers, she wanted to know how things looked, she wanted to know who made it and who didn't. They told her the Sith were gone from the galaxy, that Wredd had always hated the Sith and arranged all of this to exterminate them, which would leave only himself to be killed. Sia didn't entirely buy it. Thousands of years of intermittent fighting had proven that there were always Sith; this was just a break until they popped up again.

She'd take it, anyway.

Otherwise she mainly got to lay there. When you were one of the leaders of the galaxy and had just taken a cauterizing weapon to the chest they didn't seem to be in a rush to let her go from the hospital right away, and there wasn't much she could be done from here. So for now, she'd gotten the bed positioned so that she could sit up and breathe better, and the news was on as a distraction when it reality it only had her thinking more.

"It seems to have been a bit of a theme," Sia said. Admitted? "If he had any real honor he'd have done himself in instead of nearly creating exactly what he was trying to destroy."

Which to be fair was something she'd worried about Jao in the first place.

“He’s the kind of guy who could plan a convention and make all of the deals with the hotel and guests happen, but when everyone arrives the guests haven’t been paid and the only activity is a ball pit,” Jessica said. “You don’t think the Sith are really done for, do you?”

Was Sia looking confused about the ball pit thing? Yes.

"Absolutely not," she confirmed. "We've likely earned a few years of peace until the ones that were still in hiding, or survived the battle without us knowing, rally with a new plan. But it might be a while."

"Honestly, that's better than I was really expecting. I'll take it," Jessica decided.

"What were you expecting?" Sia wondered.

"Where I come from, new and bigger bad guys or old bad guys who made it through secretly have a habit of coming around pretty quickly," Jessica said. "I fully support a chance to step back and catch our breath."

"We get to enjoy a win, at least for a while."

Even through that win came with a lightsaber through an important organ.

"Just continue healing up so you actually can enjoy it, okay?" Jessica said.

"'Enjoy' might be a little far," Sia said. "I'll work on the other part."

"If you do that, I'll consider that a win," Jessica decided.
