Coruscant- Monday morning

It was a very weird time right now, where Jessica was gone, dealing with a Spider-situation at home, and Atton was still here, and Sia had a tour she needed to leave on while they were even more short-staffed than they were before. If she'd gotten any relaxation in the past week, it had been eaten away by stress and worry, which, to be fair, was her default state most of the time.

She was in her quarters, trying to get some packing done before she had to head into her office, and she was maybe wishing she could stay here. Declare a packing emergency.

She was just going to ignore that, thank you.

"Are you bored right now?"

"Bored is one way of putting it," Atton said, after a pause. "Antsy, maybe."

"Why are you antsy?"

She could make one very solid guess. He was still here, after all.

"Sparks," Atton said. He sighed. "He left for Toronto the other day. Been quiet since then. I'm hoping 'busy quiet' and not 'having a meltdown in the bathroom' quiet..."

"Have you tried getting in touch with him, or are you giving him space?" Sia asked, frowning. He said that and packing was forgotten for the moment.

"He said he needed to breathe for a second," Atton said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Ah, what am I worrying about? It's Sparks. He'll let me know if he needs something."

Probably.

He'd been kind of bad at that, lately. "What's next here?"

"Diplomatic tour, visiting planets that took damage during the reign of the Sith Empire," she sighed. "Without Antares, who is now filling in for Jessica on what was supposed to be her mission."

She didn't need her ex hanging around, but she would always rather have someone she trusted around.

Atton rubbed the back of his neck again. "I mean, I can probably hitch along for another day or so," he offered.

That was a dirpuse, but not an unwelcome one.

"I'd be happy to have you," she admitted.

"Yeah, well, it's that or run the risk on walking in on Sparkle with his boyfriend while he fills up the place with anxiety," Atton said.

He was worried, yeah. But at least looking after Sia would give him something to channel his worry into. "When do we leave?"

"Later this afternoon after my meetings, if you can be ready by then."

Not that she thought it took him long. Especially when she packed like a rich girl stereotype for this sort of thing.

"I literally have a backpack and two lightsabers," Atton said. "I could leave this minute if I wanted to." He gave her a sarcastic wave. "Jedi, remember?"

"Saying that will only get you roped into helping me," she pointed out.

"I mean, a full glass of juma juice and some time catching up on Imperial vids would be a better distraction, but right now, I'll settle for this," Atton returned.
