A bar in Baltimore- Saturday night

Sia hadn't cared much about her birthday in the past, and she wasn't sure she cared now. But, she really shouldn't have gotten to this birthday, and it was a milestone which meant nothing at home, and it was just days before graduation in Fandom. Once she'd managed to swing a couple days when no one would be looking for her that hard, she more or less had to come back, right?

A few people had been invited. Nothing big, and anyone was welcome to come and go as they pleased, though she had managed to find a bar that wasn't completely insane tonight.

And as she came back from opening a tab, Sia asked, "Why would they beg us not to order margaritas?"

"Possibly, but I'm attached," she said. Also the dog would win in that fight.

"Is it at least a cool kind of dog?" Cade asked.

Sia pulled out her phone and showed him a picture of her five-year-old husky, looking pretty cool.

She had like three pictures in her phone and they were all of her dog.

"Okay, it's pretty cool looking," Cade admitted. "It'd be cooler if it wore sunglasses, though."

"Under no circumstances will my dog wear sunglasses."

He was a dork, but a dignified dork.

"Stupid hat?" Cade suggested.

"It's me."

So no.

"Really, really classy hat?" Cade asked.

[notconflicted]

"Crown or nothing."

It still wouldn't happen. Sia didn't even have a crown.

"Crown then," Cade said. "You have one, right?"

Don't give him another probably illegal project, Sia.

"For the dog, not you," Cade said.

Not that Sia struck him as a tiara-wearing type.
