The last time Sia was in Fandom, it was to have a talk with Jaina, because she might never have another opportunity to talk to the person setting up the government she was currently ruling without having to explain why. She didn't get the answers she wanted, exactly, but she got something oddly helpful. She hadn't known before that conversation that a hundred years ago, Jaina used to live in the same building she did now. Once she'd found that out, Jaina had given her instructions on how to find the secret tunnels out that she and her brothers had used as kids because in her words, "no princess wants to be cooped up."

Technically, Sia was not supposed to leave the palace without a security team. Technically, her superhero best friend/advisor who was leading a team of stormtroopers could serve perfectly well as a bodyguard for a night. And, that may have been a good idea because the tunnels led straight into the underlevels of Coruscant, which was not the safest. But they could handle themselves, and they’d only be out for a few hours at some little bar, and then home.

“Well,” Sia said as they sat at a table in the back, “even if anyone did recognize me, no one would think I would ever come here.”

“Fortunately the only information I need right now is about how you’re doing. And instead of punching, I can get that with friendship, and asking,” Jessica said.

She was making a mental tally of the sketchiest-acting beings here, though, just in case that information might be useful in the future.

“I could be worse,” Sia said.

For instance, she could be on fire, instead of just feeling that way metaphorically.

“I’m finding that maybe breaks are going to turn out to be necessary for my well-being, when I actually get a chance to actually take them.” Yes, that was a summation of how she was doing.

“I think that’s reasonable. Just don’t take up space-golf and play that every weekend,” Jessica suggested.

She kept up on politics.

“Oh no, I just sneak off to seedy bars.”

Guess where she learned that one.

Jessica was going to look under the next space bus to see if Atton has been thrown there. “It’s not always my idea of a good time, but you do you,” Jessica said.

Sia shrugged. “It’s a good excuse to get away and talk. I don’t even drink much.”

Though she had more in the last few months because look at her last few months.

“Bad things happen, you go out and decompress.”

“That’s usually swinging around and finding criminals to punch for me,” Jessica said. “But that’s probably not something you can do for any junberbof reasons.”

“I’d need a team of bodyguards to swing around with me, to start,” Sia said wryly. Not that she hated that or anything.

“I could make that happen. I do know a bunch of inter-dimensional webslingers and only one of them is a cartoon pig,” Jessica pointed out.

“Thank you. But for now I’ll settle for the ability to hit things and occasionally leave without a full team,” Sia said. “What do you want to drink?”
