The streets of town- Monday morning

Sia

Sia had left the dorms to get some coffee, originally. When she got into town, she started feeling that all-too familiar prickle of danger sense and decided that it'd probably best to change her route. She figured she'd just do a quick patrol around town and walk the streets for a bit just in case.

The coffee would still be there later. Probably. You never knew in Fandom.

Sith

Two Sith watched her go down the street from their hiding spot behind a small wall and some bushes. They waited until her back was facing them before they leaped out, one wielding a lightsaber, the other a vibroblade.

That's what you got when you mixed Force-users with the Force-deaf in your army.

Sia

And thanks to that danger sense, Sia was whirling around to face them pretty quickly, pulling her lightsaber free and igniting it.

"You don't want to do this," she warned.

Sith

"Oh," one of them said, "Now we really want to, Jedi."

The other slashed at Sia with his vibroblade.

Sia

Sia raised her free hand to try and Force-push the vibroblade away, noting, "You've made a few mistakes just now."

Sith

"We don't make mistakes," the first Sith said. (That was... not strictly true.)

The other Sith wasn't deterred by his vibroblade going in the wrong direction. He was going to try and hit lower instead.

Sia

Did the other Sith really need his arm? Because the easiest thing for Sia to do now was to attempt bringing her lightsaber blade down onto his wrist.

Sith

As it turned out, he did not!

The Sith snarled with pain and rage and channeled it into an attempt to headbutt Sia really hard.

Sia

She might have to take the headbutt, and braced herself for it, but she tried to plant her lightsaber firmly in his gut before he could connect.

Sith

He had too much momentum not to finish the headbutt, but he was dead before he'd even connected with her face.

Not that she could relax now, since the other one had maneuvered himself behind her and was now swinging his lightsaber at her head.

He was new, though, and inexperienced, and aiming maybe a little too high.

Sia

Sia ducked in time, spinning around to try and use her leg to sweep his own legs from underneath him. She'd rather see if she could find out some things if/before she had to kill him, after all.

Sith

The Sith went crashing to the ground. He lashed out blindly with his lightsaber, trying to catch her before she got out of the way.

Sia

Sia caught the blade with hers, close to the hilt, trying to knock it from his hand with momentum.

Sith

It went flying off several feet to the side, leaving the Sith unarmed and snarling.

Sia

Sia planted her boot on his chest, keeping her lightsaber aimed at his throat. "Now I doubt you're here for me, or you wouldn't have called me a Jedi," she said. "Why are you attacking me?"

Sith

"Sending a message," the Sith hissed, as he tried to reach for his lightsaber without moving his arm too much.

Sia

She pressed down on his chest with her foot, pointing out, "Your message is so far unclear."

Sith

"Not to you," the Sith spat.

Then he clammed his mouth shut.

Sia

Well, that wasn't good.

"Then who's it for?" she asked, pressing the lightsaber closer.

Sith

Wordlessly, the Sith reached out in the Force and yanked on his lightsaber. He wasn't going to get it to turn on again, or slip into his hand, but maybe he could clip her around the head with it...

Sia

She felt something was happening, and decided that it would be better all the way around if she went ahead and ended this now.

"You've failed in your mission," Sia said, and drove the lightsaber into his throat.

Sith

And to that, the Sith didn't really have an answer - on account of his missing larynx and lack of a pulse.

Sia

Sia disengaged her lightsaber, and looked around to find his since she wasn't going to leave that laying around for someone else to find. Now to find out just what was going on here.

And hey, at least she didn't feel good about any of this.
