Coruscant- Sunday
Sia had hoped that after a month of being Empress, she'd have settled in a little, if not gotten outright used to things. She hadn't. In a way, she couldn't. It wasn't as if she could just make a decision about anything. Everything went through committee with two people who seemed to hold her responsible for her father's acts and didn't trust her due to her own inexperience. She'd worried about not having the skills to do the job, when in fact she didn't have the ability.
One of the things that had come up was which planets and systems remained under whose rule. Roan had taken quite a few during the Sith-Imperial War, and then when Krayt took over and the Galactic Alliance fell, the Empire technically got that, too. Naturally Stazi was fighting that and somehow a compromise of restoring things to the way they had been before the war was out of the question, and it was decided that the planetary governments would decide for themselves where they ended up.
Now diplomacy was a skill Sia did have. Having spent two years doing primarily that, she was spending what should be free time in her office, making calls to her contacts and introducing herself to those leaders that she didn't know and scheduling visits. Was it unfair of her, when the Jedi had been in hiding for years and Stazi was an admiral who didn't deal with most of the people who were important right now? Probably. Sia didn't care. She wasn't going to let Stazi just roll over her, and she had an Empire to keep together.
She looked at the chronometer and realized her head probably hurt because she'd been at this for hours without moving, and food and caf would probably be a good idea. Or she could get through another couple calls first...
